Please add comment boxes to variable sets and folders so one can leave better notes for others who may use the Document. It seems there is only a comment on the individual variables.

A client is looking to combine a large list of variables (64) into a single variable set. Each variable label has a numeric indicator as its prefix (i.e. 1., 2., etc.). When those variables are combined in Displayr, the leading numeric indicators are removed from the labels. However, if I complete this same process in Q, I have the ability to use the “Revert To Source Label” feature to bring back the original labels while also maintaining the new question set.

A user wants to Divide a Number - Grid variable set with a Numeric - Multi variable set. Both variable sets contain brand names. The user would like to be able to use the function in a similar way as Filter One Variable Set by Another. The user would select the Grid and Divide it by Number - Multi. Displayr would match the brand names (using labels) to determine which variables should be divided by which variable.

The user would like to set certain time periods to Missing when working with a Date/Time variable. For example, he wants to use a variable in the crosstab but doesn’t want 2020 to appear as it has no data. This way, he could also sig test 2021 to 2019 - the previous period with data. Workaround: change var to Nominal, but then the sig testing functionality isn’t the same:

The user would like to be able to copy derived variables crated in one Displayr Document to another Document - skipping the steps of having to re-create the variables again.

Displayr currently treats variable organization in the Data tree as a manual task. There is no built-in logic to automatically group related variables (e.g., based on shared prefixes, metadata tags, or creation source), nor is there an intelligent foldering system that reflects the logical structure of the survey or data import. As a result, users are required to create folders and organize variables by hand, regardless of dataset complexity or size.

The request is to be able to use a function called “ Binary from Categorical” (i.e. exactly the same as the Q function Ready-Made Formulas > Questions → Pick Any With All Combinations ) which also works exactly the same way as our current function “ Filters from Selected Data” with the exception that the “new” function doesn’t set the newly created variables to be usable as filters.

Desired Outcome Build a “smarter” way of combining Pick Ones > Pick One Multi or Questions > Pick Any Grid where all unique labels are accounted for and any missing codes get filled in as missing. Many times the solutions for combining questions into grids with inconsistent labels/variables are 20+ steps long and a considerable lift for the customer. There are many times customers (see below for 4 examples) have messy data or data not setup in a great format and they want/need to combine questions in a grid. In order to do so, they have to create lots of intermediate (flattened) variables and many dummy variables that won’t be used for anything else. Further, if they need dummy variables - or even if they have the same variables but just in a different order on the questions - they have to line them up in order manually before being able to combine. It seems that ordering the labels and filling in missing labels with missing data could be done within an automation rather than by the user. A newer user said she created custom variables in MarketSight using the UI (i.e., no code) and would like to be able to do so in Displayr.

Q allows users to create a Moving Averages variables using Date/Time. Add a similar option to Displayr.
