Introduce a Model View—a visual diagram that maps out the relationships between data sets. Key features would include: Lines representing relationships, with hover and double-click functionality to inspect or edit them. Arrow indicators to show filter context flow (single or double arrows for one-way or bidirectional relationships). The ability to manually adjust relationships, including setting one- or two-way filtering. This visual interface would provide users with the clarity needed to effectively work with Snowflake-style data models—making it easier to troubleshoot, refine, and scale complex projects with confidence.

You can merge .SAV data sets in Displayr but not QDat files. This request is to be able to do the same with QDat files.

In the Q merge tool, you can merge data that has different value attributes and pick which dataset to use to get the labels for the values. Especially with trackers where survey systems (and questions) can change over time, it’s imperative this is supported by our new merge tools in Displayr so customers don’t have to jump through hoops and spend TONS of time to try to reformat data to be merged. In this specific case, the user was combining a survey that was done across countries/languages.

Combining data sets works when both are SPSS files but not when one is CSV. The request is to allow both formats.

I was in a meeting earlier today discussing the ease of use for merging files in Q vs. Displayr. The dialog box in Q is simple and easy to navigate since you’re just dragging and dropping questions that should be aligned. Though the dialog box in Displayr has similarities to Q, the options and how information is entered in the object inspector have a clunkier feel. Are there any plans to change the merge design in Dispalyr?

Have an Excel-style paste sheet so you can omit variables in bulk. Currently very slow if you want to omit lots of variables because you have to define each one individually.

When merging data sets, it would be helpful to have a way to additionally merge similar categories where the labels are very slightly different.

It’s easy for users to reference a constructed variable that’s not actually in the raw data set when trying to merge data sets in Displayr. This should be pointed out in an error message to make it clearer what the issue is, as users often don’t realize only raw variables can be referenced and/or don’t remember what variables are raw vs constructed.
