In weight calculation UI, the weight is calculated automatically whenever the user either: (1) opens the weight UI or (2) enters a valid entry for a new weight variable. User requested a method to only calculate weights when user asks the tool to do so. EG: User enters weight targets … clicks OK. Only then does the tool (re) calculate the weight.

The new weighting interface from 5.13.1 is very compartmentalised so every weight set is collapsed by default and you have to go through one by one with additional clicks compared to the old method. In earlier versions you can see all weight sets at the same time without further clicks. This affects usability and make more complicated weighting involve more steps.

In cases where a user has multiple target variables and targets, it would be helpful if they could copy all the targets in one go, update them (in Excel), and paste them back into Q/Displayr.

If a user accidentally selects the wrong variable in the weight module drop-down, it should allow you to be able to easily de-select it.

Customer says: “I’m wondering if there is an easier way available to do things? e.g. let’s pretend I have a study where I have collected a market sample through a panel and a client sample through a client list and I now only want to weight the market sample, but don’t want to apply any weighting to the client sample. I other tools I would set a filter on market sample and create a weight just for these, and then later fill the missings with 1. If I understand it correctly in Q I have to first downweight my client sample to 0 (which makes the weighting diagnostics useless) and then rebase the weight and combine it with the weight for the client sample (which still would be 1).” Essentially she wants to be able to avoid creating multiple weights and down-weighting categories to 0 by using a filter instead.

This suggestion sort of piggy backs off of [ https://numbers.atlassian.net/browse/FR-535|https://numbers.atlassian.net/browse/FR-535|smart-link ] feedback from a specific customer. From a support/troubleshooting perspective (and a final review of targets from a customer perspective), it would be great to be able to expand out all the weight sets and be able to view at once with a master scrollbar (rather than expanding and scrolling within each set). Not only is it a lot less clicks, but we can also quickly review targets in context more easily through scrolling through everything rather than clicking/scrolling to compare the targets in each set. So when rechecking/reviewing weights instead of this: !image-20220222-180617.png|width=1289,height=693! Have something where you have one scroll and can expand out everything like the original tool: !image-20220222-180659.png|width=883,height=1005!

The ability to combine adjacent cells (e.g. group together males aged 18-24, 25-34, 35-39 in one region) but leave them separate for the other regions would be awesome.
