There are some workarounds you can do to add prohibitions to a MaxDiff, e.g. [Advanced MaxDiff Experimental Designs|https://docs.displayr.com/wiki/Advanced_MaxDiff_Experimental_Designs] and the Prohibitions section, but this should be a built-in option when creating the design.
