Displayr

Q allows users to create a Moving Averages variables using Date/Time. Add a similar option to Displayr.

This request is to treat Date/Time variables as categorical, so this allows sorting, reversing, hiding, combine, moving and so on.

On a date variable when you use the week aggregation the default is to have the week start on a Monday and end on Sunday. I have been asked a few times to have the ability to customize when a week starts and ends. The customer would like to have the ability to select when a week start as an example, to have the week start on a Sunday and end on a Saturday.

You can do monthly, quarterly and annual date aggregation but there is no option to do half-yearly. The only workaround is to use R code: {{as.character(lubridate::floor_date(WAVE_MONTH, "halfyear"))}}

Need text → date/time variable widget/automation. User can provide a format that the data is in YYMMDD or whatever and then the code can be auto-generated for the new variable and that variable turned into a Date/Time variable. Code used for this was: as.Date (strptime(ResLastCallDate,"%Y%m%d"))

Ability to specify a relative period within the Contract Period variable For example, instead of selecting a specific month, the user could select: Date Aggregation = Month Compare Last Month Versus Last Month - 1 We could take it a step further and allow for a ‘Period Type’ option that would let the user to pick between Fixed (as it is now) and Relative (Last Month, Last Month - 1, etc ) Oliver has done something similar with the Difference between Columns Rules.

Take Cola Tracking data, for example. Step 1: Table > Raw Data > Variables Step 2: Select Unique Identifier, Interview Date, Age (doesn’t really matter, the important variable is Interview Date). Step 3: Sort on Interview Date (either ascending or descending) and note that the values are sorted alphabetically. This is unlikely to be the intent of the user when sorted. Feature request is to allow the user to change the variable type to be Date and sort it sensibly.
