User lost data after closing a qualtrics survey that was set up using an API. Therefore, no data was able to populate. While there's a workaround, the user would like to be able to tell Displayr the survey is done and have it automatically save a copy in the Displayr cloud and update existing API connection with this now static file.

Each time this user connects to a Forsta (Decipher) dataset, he has to re-enter his URL and API token. The idea here would be that users or admins can store the URLs and tokens for different surveys platforms at the account level so that they can just select an existing connection instead of having to enter the values in each time. We may want to consider doing this at the user level for permission purposes, but it probably makes more sense to do this at the admin/account level and then let the admin select which users have access to it.

This one is from me, and I think it can be very useful. In the red box you can see .sav files used by the client and downloaded from a Dispayr Document as a QPack and unzipped. In the green box you can see exactly the same files saved using Publish > Export Data > Download as SPSS sav. The platform used to collect data exports very large files for no apparent reason. Ideally, Dispalry would ‘convert’ the file on upload and use the smaller files. This can speed up load time, allow user to upload larger files and save server space/ cost. The same QDat is even smaller

When using Paste or Enter table ( Anything > Table > Paste or Enter table) the number of rows is limited to 1,000. In certain cases, such as Copy & Pasting an external MaxDiff experimental design the limitation prevents the user from inputting the design and using it to run the MaxDiff analysis.

I was in a meeting earlier today discussing the ease of use for merging files in Q vs. Displayr. The dialog box in Q is simple and easy to navigate since you’re just dragging and dropping questions that should be aligned. Though the dialog box in Displayr has similarities to Q, the options and how information is entered in the object inspector have a clunkier feel. Are there any plans to change the merge design in Dispalyr?

When you update your data set, there is a button to “accept”, which is fine if everything is OK but if you’re not happy with it, there isn’t an option to reject it.

Customer says: “All the Qualtrics files downloaded in .sav format contain plus signs, which I think Displayr can’t read (I couldn’t upload the files until I removed the plus signs). It would be really nice to not have to manually remove all the plus signs before uploading them to Displayr. Maybe that can’t be fixed, but if it can, it would save time for Qualtrics users.”

Have an Excel-style paste sheet so you can omit variables in bulk. Currently very slow if you want to omit lots of variables because you have to define each one individually.

When a user loads duplicate variable names (as one can do using an excel file). The duplicate Names of the variables get numbered starting with 2, but the duplicate Labels of the variables get numbered starting with 1. So you end up with a lot of variables with inconsistent Label \[Name] as in the screenshot below. It’s a bit confusing, but also causes issues when you want to use a variable in R because the variable reference is ambiguous and so you have to use the ugly referencing syntax that is confusing/prone to error for new R coders. !image-20220114-224526.png|width=667,height=111!

The user wishes to be able to have a file name automatically appended to when importing a new data set with the same name to prevent conflicts.
