If you're running automated reports (Summary Plots or Summary Reports with charts), Displayr will use legacy charts. If your template has a dark background, the font in the chart blends with the background. Users must apply a chart template to each chart to alter the font colors for data and axis labels, eliminating any time gains found through automated reporting.

The same issue remains if the plan is to switch the automated reports to R visualizations. The user will still have to apply visualization templates to each visualization separately.

Currently, the geographic maps can only use gradients. The customer would like to apply a named template to geographic maps so that US is always a specific color etc.

User wanted a specific color template for their ranking plots so that a specific brand was always a certain color and others were grey. Ranking plots aren’t supported in chart templates so user had to remake all their charts manually.

I like the sound of this.

We allow users to Save and Apply Chart Templates (for legacy charts only).

The user would like the option to setup a Default Chart template without the need to apply it to each chart.

This request essentially amounts to a UI version of this help article.

There's no current method for including the position or axes using the chart template, or to change chart settings, e.g. axes settings, all at once across multiple charts for that matter. These settings should be saved in the template.

Scenario:

”Sometimes we get feedback from our customers that has an impact on many pages that we’ve created. In most cases, we have to go through all the pages to fulfill that request (e.g. change the font size on all graphs, add an annotation, change the color of a graph…). It would be nice if we could change many things in 1 go.

Also: when using a graph template, changing something that uses that template, does not affect the template. It would be nice if there would be an option: “apply this change to all graphs using this template”.”
