Qualtrics has overhauled their conjoint and maxdiff features recently with separate Conjoint and MaxDiff modules at a higher tier.

Basically, Qualtrics wants to do the experimental design as a part of its project setup, but the mechanics of its designs are really low quality. For conjoint, though, it does give you the option to upload your own experimental design and override it under the “advanced” settings in the conjoint project setup.

MaxDiff is identical to this Conjoint setup--with the exception that there’s no option to upload your own experimental design (as best as I can tell—this is what I’m currently trying to get Qualtrics to confirm).

Bigger picture—I don’t get the sense Displayr’s conjoint or maxdiff experimental designs have an automated way to be applied to Qualtrics’s new, overhauled conjoint- or maxdiff-specific project types, but they should be.
