Limit amount of selectable items in a combo box.
S

Combo boxes, list boxes, and other relevant controls, should have a numeric setting that determines the minimum and maximum amount of items that can be selected by the dashboard user. E.g., if the designer wants to limit the number of selections to 5, then the maximum selectable amount should be 5.
Once the limit has been reached, the selectable items in the combo box that have NOT been selected should grey out and be unselectable, until the dashboard user has cleared at least one of the other items already selected.

Force selection in combo box rather than allow empty

There is currently no option to remove the ability to select nothing in a combo box (or drop-down). The customer wishes Displayr to be able to automatically detect no selection in a control and force the selection of an item.

Limit the number of selections that can be made in a multi-select control box, either Combo Box or List Box.

The example is from a customer who wanted to limit the number of attributes an end-user could select from the multi-select combo box. They had a battery of statements that if all selected would make the chart look cluttered so only wanted to allow them to select a max of 5 statements at a time.

The user wanted a mechanism to only allow a maximum number of selections in a combo box. The particular user had 100s of possible selections, and he wanted to set it up so that only 3 (for example) selections could be made.
