Edit URL to data file in Displayr Document
O
Olive Reindeer
Ability to edit URL for data set that is erroring (say if file at old URL is now gone). In Displayr you get this message. Currently you are stuck with an error and can’t do anything.
In Q, you get a couple of options to edit the URL (which means you could point to a corrected file) or proceed without the data (which means you could update the file with a hard file).

Simplify switching from API to other data sources
N
Nectarine Lemming
When a customer needs to switch from an API data source to any other data source, it’s a manual process that requires USE to intervene, unlike other data source switches. This request would bring the data source switching in line with other data sources in Displayr.

Easier ways to switch data source
L
Linguistic Tyrannosaurus
User wants to switch from manual SPSS import to automated Google Sheets import. However, the different levels of metadata between the data sources makes changing the data source rather cumbersome.

Change data source from api to .sav to finalize data without editing .Q xml
R
Rose Armadillo
In this specific case, user wanted to update document with final data set using a .sav file. However, they setup the document to pull from the Qualtrics API. They also canceled their Qualtrics paid account which kicks them off of their API access and since the document updates automatically each time it opens, they couldn’t use the document.
You must go in and modify the xml of the underlying .Q file to break the API references and remap it to a .sav but this always seems a bit dicey to me and something we don’t recommend users to do.

Change data source without editing .Q xml

In this specific case, user wanted to merge in data with a dataset imported using the Qualtrics API. They already built some of their report with the original Qualtrics data so ideally they would Update the dataset with the merged .sav, however you can’t do this because it’s hooked up to the integration.

“Smart” dataset swapping that can match variables based on name or label in variable
C
Controlled Bandicoot
For instance. If client has a template document and wants to swap in new data, they would like Displayr to be less fussy with matching names and labels. They’d like either to work when appropriate.

Enable swapping data sets from API to static file

Creative Impala
Changing from the Decipher API to another data source requires editing the XML inside the QPack which we do for the user. This needs to be possible for the user to do themselves easily.
