Create new binary variable when source variable set updates

If there is a constructed set of binary variables based on a single-response variable and the latter updates to include a new category, this doesn’t automatically get added to the former. The customer would like to this to instead automatically update by recognizing additional codes in the source variable.

On trackers, you may need to rebase questions to the base of the people who answered a question within each individual wave (instead of the overall respondents in the wave). The only way to do this currently is to use the
Filter > Filter One Variable Set by Another
using the date/nominal variable. However, when a tracker is updated and another month/date pops up, this is not automatically reflected in the “rebased” copy of the question and the automation has to be reran again and variable sets swapped out in outputs/analysis OR the user has to get their data provider to manually add in placeholders for waves in the code frames of variables (almost never happens) OR the user has to manually create variables for the new wave for the variable set and combine whenever it is updated. Can there be a more automated way to do this for those with trackers? Maybe a new special type of “updatable” filtered question that’s automatically reran when an input variable set is updated? Or could we do something like this with banner functionality (new variables for new waves are automatically created in banners when data is updated)?J

When a customer uses the Filter One Variable Set By Another function and the source variable set adds another category, they would like this to be automatically added to the recoded variable set.

Option to Automatically update Filters from Selected Data

The user is working on a tracker. With a new wave, another country was added to the variable.
The user would like the Filter variable (crated using Filters from Selected Data) to update automatically.

Allowing Filters from Selected data to automatically update

A user has created a Wave Filter on a tracking study using
Filters from Selected Data.
When a new wave of data comes in they need to create the filter for it manually and add it to the Pick Any Filter option.
Could we add an option for this to be automated (likely not as it runs using a script).
