Sometimes, when a data set is updated with new data, the updated data contains new variables for existing questions. This can include new categories for Binary - Multi variable sets, new variables for Nominal - Multi variable sets, or even many new variables in grid-style variable sets.

However, these new variables are not automatically added to the existing variable sets. Combining the new variables into the existing variable sets resets the data reduction, so any renaming, nets, or other modifications are lost.

This process is tedious and results in lost time repeating work that has already been done, losing some of the benefits of doing your work in Displayr. A better solution would automatically combine these new variables with the existing variable sets.
