When you set "Axis number type" to "Category" in a visualization, you can no longer adjust the maximum number of ticks. However, in the scenario where you have used a rule to add the sample size to column labels and these labels are the dates, the axis labels can end up too bunched up. It would be good to have some option to be able to have the best of both worlds of being able to show the date and sample sizes but not every axis point. One option is to allow the user to show every second or third axis label only, for example. This will then provide a cleaner axis.
