Add Count to visualizations under data labels

Claudia Fok
Spoke with a user who would like to be able to add counts under the data labels on a donut chart but I think it should be an option for all visualizations

Hide Matching Data Labels in Visualizations
I
Indigo Clownfish
A user had a somewhat busy line visualization and some of the values for certain brands were overlapping, making the visualization even busier. They requested the ability to hide matching data labels (ex. Net-A-Porter, Bergdorf Goodman, and Bloomingdale’s were all 88% in W3). This may not be possible for multiple reasons, including the data values not exactly matching (ex., Net-A-Porter is 87.7% and Bloomingdale’s is 88.2%).

Customize series label on hover
S
Solid Seahorse
Currently we can customize the data values that are shown in hover on visualizations, but user also wants the ability to customize the series label and format as well. For example they don’t like the transparent background on the series label and may want to shorten/remove some of the labels on hover but not in the legend.

Customize the position of data labels
B
Belinda Bailey
Have more flexible controls for the positioning of data labels and make it consistent for all visualizations. There are visualizations where you can change the R CODE to adjust the position (data.label.position) but this should be customizable from the object inspector.

More formatting options (e.g. Bold, Italic, Alignments)

Jan Jesenovec
The user would like more formatting options for the axis and the ability to select which labels to format (e.g. Bold the NETs, but not the rest of the labels).

Legend labels as data labels in stacked charts
N
Natural Hawk
The user wants to have the legend labels as data labels in a stacked bar chart. User writes, “in my chart I want labels to be with the data labels rather than as a legend. i.e. in this instance on the top chart the first blue block would say Users: Regular 44%.”

Add option to show label on Number in Donut
P
Persistent Mongoose
When using
Number in a Donut
visualization, there is no option to add a data label to the value. With regular pie or donut visualizations, the labels come in with the value so that the slices are labeled. The are also Data Labels
properties available to format the labels. User would like similar functionality on a Number in Donut
