Allow for Missing values with Date/Time variables
backlog

The user would like to set certain time periods to Missing when working with a Date/Time variable.
For example, he wants to use a variable in the crosstab but doesn’t want 2020 to appear as it has no data.
This way, he could also sig test 2021 to 2019 - the previous period with data.
Workaround: change var to Nominal, but then the sig testing functionality isn’t the same:

Allow 'category' x axis number type in date format to include data gap in visualizations
E
Emerald Wombat
When you have a data gap in a line chart visualization while using a date variable with
Chart > CATEGORIES (X) AXIS > Axis number type
set to Automatic
, it will show this gap but it may aggregate the existing dates. When using the
Category
option, this will prevent the aggregation but it will not show the data gap.The request is that “category” items in a recognisable date format will still allow for the data gap.

Enable time period analysis with periods removed

Users should be able to use Date variables in the columns or rows of tables, where periods with _no_ data should be hidden/removed from the table.
Any test against the previous period should be able to test against the previous period _with data_.
Charts where there are missing periods, should show no gaps, but go from say, Dec to Mar directly.

Date/Time variables Missing data

Allow users to specify Missing Data in Date/Time variables and for Date/Time variables work like "normal" categorical variables when there are missing periods.
Use case: showing trended data for tracking studies with irregular waves:
Wave 1: Q1
Wave 2: Q3
Wave 3: Q1 ….
