Ability to pre-select combo box items based on user group

User would like to pre-specify which items in a combo-box or list box are selected when viewing a report conditionally on who is logged in. I.e. if person X logs in (member of a specific group) to view a dashboard, then items A, B, and C are pre-selected in the list box. If person Q is viewing (and part of a different group), then items X, Y, and Z are pre-selected in the combo box/list box.

This user wanted to specify the categories that can be selected for different User Groups as not all the User Groups had the same data because I know you can select the default to the categories published but this was not the case for all User Groups so being able to customize would be good.
