A user would like to color a selected row in a stacked bar chart a specific color compared to other stacked bar in the visualization. The
Modify Cell Content > Color Selected Rows/Columns
works with a standard bar/column visualization, but not on a stacked bar. Requesting that the functionality be made available for the stacked variety.J

More color customization in stacked column visualization

User wants to be able to set colors for categories as well as within a series. Currently can only specify one or the other and must use overlay table and rework their data to get what they need. Here’s what they want:

Allow more color customization in stacked column chart

Allow user to specify colors for each individual stack in stacked column chart. You can pass a matrix of colors to some column visualizations, but not to stacked column. This would allow the user to specify color schemes per brand/column of a stacked column chart. In this instance, the user wanted to make “market average” column on greyscale and leave other columns as they are. Only option is to overlay a chart on top with the correct coloring, but adds bloat to already bloated document and is hard to align b/c columns shown change dynamically based on combo boxes.

User has requested that specific rows show with some opacity compared to other rows in their bar chart. See mocked up example:

The above was created by overlaying two bar charts and setting one up with opacity assigned.

Allow Users to Modify Font for Specific Attributes in a Visualization

A user wants to have one specific brand appear in a different font color or font weight compared to other brands in a bar chart. This is not currently possible. Instead, I advised them to color the bar a specific color using the color palette settings or to create a visualization template where the selected brand’s row/column always appears in a certain color compared to others.

Allow selection of different font colors within a series

For instance - a stacked column can apply a visualization template, where the colors are linked to brand or a series, but the fonts within those colors are not. To increase visibility, it would be useful to have different font colors available when the colors are darker, but keep the normal fonts when the colors are lighter.
