In addition to saving a visualization as a template, there are now lots of other things that can be saved as saved as templates, and then easily re-used.
You can now:
- Template custom calculations that appear on a page. This is a very general feature and can be used to do everything from simple math to advanced analyses and bespoke visualizations. You can even customize the object inspector, allowing you to build features for other users in your company.
- Template pages. For example, if there's a standard set of pages or analyses you use in your reports, you can save these as templates.
- Template variable sets. More about this below.
Templates are created by right-clicking on something and clicking
Save as Template
. They are applied by selecting something, right-clicking and choosing Apply Template
. To create something new from a template, either:- Press the Templatebutton at the top of the screen if wanting to insert something on a page.
- Press the +button andTemplatein theReporttree to insert into the report.
- Press the +button andTemplatein theData Sourcestree to insert into the report.

Variable set templating allows you to automate lots of routine data cleaning and data tidying tasks, including:
- Rewording of labels
- Consistent sorting
- Missing value settings and re-basinga
- Changes to variable set structure
- Top 2 box scores
- Making variables created by code easily re-usable
