When combo boxes get particularly large or run off screen it can be difficult for viewers to find what they want to select. Allowing a viewer (or user) to type in the combo box and allow it to search through the selectable results, similar to other searchable drop-down boxes on other sites, would help alleviate the problem.

At the moment, to filter a table's rows or columns using a combo box, I have to turn it into a visualization or create a calculation first. I would like to be able to set a relationship between any basic (not R-based) table and a combo box so that the selection in the combo box acts with the table to show/hide rows or columns in the table.

User requested that the “(Select All)” text in the combo-box drop down be editable. (They wanted to translate it to a different language).

Selecting many items from a long list in a combo or list box must be done individually. Allowing users to use Shift and CTRL selection, similar to other parts of Displayr, will improve the usability of the controls.

Hierarchy controls allow users to filter data using multi-level hierarchical structures, for example, Year > Quarter > Month or Continent > Country > Region > City. These slicers provide an intuitive, expandable tree structure so users can drill down or roll up to their level of interest. Currently, seeing which variables a ComboBox is linked to requires inspecting R code and searching the document, which is cumbersome. It would be beneficial to have a more straightforward method to identify the source variable directly from the ComboBox on the screen (in the object inspector), without needing to rely on variable names or additional searches. Simplifying this process would enhance usability and efficiency.

I want to create a combo box drop down where each list item is linked to specific pages within the document. Currently, I can only attach links to the combo box itself, not to individual items within it. This feature would allow users to navigate directly to the relevant page when selecting an item from the combo box, enhancing document interactivity and user experience.

We want to build a dashboard where clients can select questions (variables) and filter on various other variables. The list of available questions to choose from must be set by us. However, there is no built-in mechanism in Displayr to allow end-users in view mode to select variable sets for visualization. It would be beneficial to have this feature to enhance user interactivity and customization, and reduce effort to set up dashboards that show many different variable sets in the same way.

Similar to Displayr's other controls, a numeric slider would allow a viewer to select a number along the slider, which could then be used as an input for other things. The slider would have customizable endpoints and scale intervals. So you could set up a slider from 0 to 100 where every "notch" on the slider is 1 or every "notch is 20. You would also have the option of setting the slider to accept any value within the range, whole number or decimal.
