Customers would like the option to turn off the window that displays details—such as the variable's name—when hovering over a variable. This feature often interferes with smoothly completing actions in the object inspector.

A user would like the ability to completely disable the hover (Variable Set Inspector) tooltip. Or at the very least extend the amount of time a user has to hover over a variable name before it appears so that it's not popping up constantly when unsolicited.

Do you mean the preview feature that shows a table-like representation of the data in a hovering popup?

Cadigal Havens (Displayr) He's referring to the popup w/ a variable/variable set's value attributes that appears when you hover over a variable/variable set in the Data Sources tree. It's very sensitive (i.e., appears very quickly) and blocks the object inspector. It's especially troublesome for those working on laptops w/ small screens. I'm submitting a related bug.
